For all of you who missed the real time events in June 2025

We are honoured to participate in the Raindance Immersive Festival in June 2024. Our exhibit explores a profound theme: conquering the fear of death. Rest assured, our goal is to inspire and assist you in beginning to dispel your anxieties. :) 

Our four live events will be led by Chief Priest Houkaku Sasaki. However, if you couldn't attend, we have made it easy to walk through the experience on your own or with a friend. You will find the instructions here below.

Interview with the host of our Metaverse experience, Zen priest Houkaku Sasaki

Our CTO, Hans Karlsson, interviews the young abbot at the Gyokuryū-Ji, Houkaku Sasaki. Meet us in avatar form in the Metaverse!

1 Set up your Engage account and create your avatar

1. Go to https://app.engagevr.io/register and create an Engage account
2. An e-mail will be sent to you. Click the verification link and edit your profile details
3. Install the app
   1. Here are all the supported VR-headset apps
   2. You can also install it on a PC. We recommend VR headsets for the best experience.
   3. We do not recommend using a smartphone, as they are ill suited for immersive content.
4. Start the app in your VR headset or PC
5. Login
6. Create an avatar
7. For dress, please select “casual” and "customise". For “shoes,” select white socks only, as we will enter the metaverse version of a real Japanese temple. Please honour the request of the Chief Priest. Wearing shoes indoors is a taboo in Japan.
8. Save and continue
9. We recommend that you try some of the spaces in the Content menu and practice how to move using your hand controllers. We recommend that you try the VR beginner’s guide on the first page to quickly learn how to move around and toggle your mic on and off.

2. How to access the event space

You can access the event space any time of the day.

1. Login
2. Select the JOIN SESSION tab
3. Select JOIN SESSION BY ID
4. Type in the ID zdgyeq
5. Type in the password mamamia​

4. Optional quick tour

In this video Houkaku Sasaki, Chief Priest in the Gyokuryū-Ji Zen temple and event guide, appears as an English-speaking AI avatar.

We have prepared an automated event where you will meet the Chief Priest in the form of a hologram. The playtime is about five minutes. After the show you can look around the temple freely. Just follow these simple steps.

1. Log in
2. Find the Contents tab to the left
3. Find the temple experience in the list of contents. The list is growing, but it should be on page 4 or 5.
4. Press the Start button.
5. You will now enter the Zen temple and the show will start shortly.

The show contains visuals you can only see here, so this complements the main exhibition.
